What is payroll software, and what does 247HRM cover?
Payroll software automates salary calculation, statutory deductions, payslip generation, and bank disbursement, replacing manual spreadsheets and disconnected tools. 247HRM covers India payroll end to end: configurable salary structures, FBP and reimbursements,
attendance and
leave integration, PF, ESI, multi-state professional tax, TDS, Form 16, Form 24Q, ECR generation for EPFO, ESIC challan for ESIC portal, LWF, Bonus, and 2026 Labour Code wage definitions. One platform for the whole cycle, not three tools stitched together. For a deeper primer, see
payroll software explained.
Does 247HRM handle multi-state PF, ESI, and Professional Tax?
Yes. Professional Tax is the trickiest because each of India's 22 states has different slabs and deadlines. 247HRM applies the correct slab automatically based on each employee's work location, generates state-wise challans, and tracks deadlines. PF, ESI, and LWF rules update automatically when government rates change, with no ticket needed.
Can 247HRM file Form 16, Form 24Q, and ECR returns?
247HRM generates Form 16 with digital signature for distribution at year-end, Form 24Q in the format TRACES accepts for quarterly e-TDS filing, and the ECR file for direct upload to EPFO. The filing itself happens on government portals, but 247HRM produces the upload-ready file with zero manual reformatting. Form 16 batch processing covers 100% of employees in a single action.
How long does payroll implementation take, and what does it cost?
Standard mid-market implementations (150 to 500 employees) go live in 4 to 6 weeks, including biometric integration, salary structure setup, statutory configuration, and payroll mapping. Implementation is managed by a named 247HRM specialist, not self-serve. Implementation cost is one month of subscription value, one-time. Enterprise rollouts with multiple entities and locations are scoped separately.
How much does 247HRM Payroll cost per employee?
247HRM has three plan tiers. Core starts at ₹5,999 base monthly plus ₹99 per employee per month. Professional at ₹8,999 base plus ₹159 PEPM. Premium at ₹11,999 base plus ₹199 PEPM. Annual billing applies a 15% discount across base and per-employee fees. Payroll is included from Core onwards. Payroll Operations Assistance, where our team runs the cycle for you, is a separate add-on. Full pricing is on the
pricing page.
Is 247HRM ready for the 2026 Labour Codes?
Yes. The new wage definition under the Code on Wages, the two-working-day full-and-final settlement clock, and the harmonised statutory rates are configured in the engine. As state-level notifications continue to roll out through 2026, updates push to your account automatically.
Can we run payroll for multiple entities and locations?
Yes, on every plan from Core upward. Unlimited group companies, unlimited locations, no per-entity surcharge. Each entity has its own chart of accounts, statutory IDs, pay calendars, and approval flows. Multi-state operations are configured during managed implementation.
Does 247HRM integrate with our accounting and biometric systems?
Yes. All biometric brands integrate in days, with real-time attendance pull and no device replacement. Accounting integrations cover Tally and SAP via API, plus standard bank transfer letter formats for all major Indian banks. Premium tier includes full REST API access for custom ERP integrations.
Does 247HRM have AI capabilities?
247HRM includes 11 live AI features across the platform: 5 in Performance Management (Goal Bank, SWOT Analysis, Action Plans, Sentiment Analysis, Multi-Language Translation), 3 in ATS (JD Creation, Resume Parsing, Candidate Scoring), 1 in Attendance (Face Recognition), and 3 platform-wide tools (Website Chatbot, Application Chatbot, Text Enhancement). The payroll module includes automated letter generation, attendance data integration, and compliance automation, with additional AI capabilities planned for 2026.
Is 247HRM secure and compliant with data residency requirements?
247HRM is ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certified for information security and privacy, AICPA SOC 2 audited, and GDPR compliant. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, with role-based access control and full audit logs. Data residency is on Indian cloud infrastructure.
What is the difference between payroll software and HRMS?
Payroll software automates salary calculation, statutory deductions, and compliance filing. HRMS (Human Resource Management System) is a broader platform that includes payroll plus attendance, leave, performance, recruitment, and employee lifecycle management. 247HRM is a complete HRMS with payroll as one integrated module, so attendance, leave approvals, and FFS calculations flow directly into the payroll cycle on the same employee record.
How much time does 247HRM payroll software save every month?
HR teams using 247HRM save an average of 40+ hours per month. Manual payroll typically takes 5 days from input to bank disbursement; 247HRM closes it in under 4 hours. Statutory filing prep that took 2-3 days per cycle (PF ECR, ESIC challan, PT challans, Form 24Q) now takes minutes. IT declaration and proof review that consumed 8-10 hours per quarter is automated through ESS digital submission.
Can payroll software handle contract workers and consultants?
Yes. 247HRM supports contract workers, consultants, and part-time employees alongside full-time payroll. You can configure separate pay structures, exclude them from PF/ESI where applicable, apply different tax treatment, and run contract payroll on different calendars. Timesheet integration for billable consultants is supported through the Timesheets module.
What happens if there is an error in payroll calculation?
247HRM has three safeguards. First, AI anomaly detection flags unusual variances (LOP spikes, overtime outliers, duplicate entries) before you lock payroll. Second, the payroll preview screen shows variance vs last month for every employee before approval. Third, audit logs track every salary change, deduction override, and manual adjustment with timestamp and actor, so errors are traceable and reversible. If an error reaches disbursement, salary corrections can be processed as adhoc adjustments in the next cycle with automatic carryforward.
How do I switch from my current payroll system to 247HRM?
247HRM includes free data migration from any payroll system (spreadsheets, legacy software, or competitor platforms) as part of managed implementation. Your implementation specialist maps your current salary structures, imports historical YTD data for tax continuity, configures statutory settings, and runs a parallel test cycle before go-live. Zero data loss, zero compliance gaps. Most mid-market switches complete in 4-6 weeks from kickoff to first live payroll run.
