- Applicant tracking system (ATS)
- The module that moves candidates from sourcing through interview to offer, then hands the new joiner to onboarding on the same record.
- Timesheet
- The record of hours an employee logs against projects and tasks, splitting billable and non-billable time for utilisation and payroll.
- Utilisation
- The share of an employee's available hours spent on billable project work, used to plan allocation and bench in IT delivery.
- Bench
- Employees not currently allocated to a billable project, tracked so HR and delivery can reallocate them quickly.
- 9-box
- A talent grid that places employees by performance and potential, used in appraisals to guide development, promotion and retention.
- 360-degree feedback
- A review method gathering input from managers, peers and reports, run inside the appraisal cycle on one record.
- Variable pay
- The performance- or incentive-linked portion of compensation, calculated and paid through the same payroll run as fixed pay.
- Employee self service
- The portal where employees mark attendance, log hours, raise claims, view payslips and answer surveys without routing everything through HR.
